FAQ’s

  • How long will my move take?   The amount of time that your move will take depends upon the complete inventory and the ease of access at the origin and the destination.
  • What should I mention to obtain the most accurate quote?  Please be sure to include information pertaining to the complete inventory, stairs, elevators, difficult entries, difficult stairwells, long-carries, and steep driveways as such conditions can add to the total time of the move.
  • Do I really need to mention all of my belongings?  Yes.  Be sure to disclose all of the inventory when obtaining the initial quote.  Understating the inventory could result in an inaccurate estimate and therefore, a more expensive final bill.  Providing all of the inventory allows us to place the correct number of men on your move and ensures that your move will be as efficient as possible.
  • Do you provide packing services?  Unfortunately, we are unable to provide packing services at this time.  Please plan to have all of your items packed prior to the crew’s arrival.  Packing early will aid in having a stress-free move.
  • Does everything need to be boxed in order to be moved?  Yes.  All items that can be boxed should be boxed aside from large items. Large glass pieces and mirrors should be wrapped in cardboard.
  • What is included with the move?  Our rates include furniture blankets, stretch wrap, straps, and dollies along with disassembly and reassembly.
  • Is it okay to walk with the movers throughout the move?  For your own safety, it is imperative that you give the movers space to adequately move items.  Please avoid closely following the movers while they are handling furniture.  The safety of the crew is of high importance.  We reserve the right to halt a move to correct such behavior-the clock will remain running throughout this time.
  • How should I prepare my potted plants for the move?  Please note that potted plants are not covered in the event of damage and these are most safely transported within a personal vehicle.  Plants should be packed in sturdy boxes lined with plastic and the empty space should be filled with bubble wrap or packing paper.  Make sure that the plastic is not too tight and be sure to pack these last to avoid damage.
  • Will the movers provide protection for my walls?  Unfortunately, we do not provide wall protection during moves.  It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that surfaces are protected during the move.  We recommend taping cardboard and over the walls to provide protection.  Be sure to use painter’s tape to avoid damaging to the wall.
  • Will the movers provide protection for my carpet or hardwood floors?  Unfortunately, we do not provide carpet protection or hardwood floor protection.  It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that surfaces are protected during the move.  We recommend placing carpet shield in high-traffic areas to provide protection for carpeted surfaces. Thin cardboard can be securely taped with painter’s tape to hardwood floors for protection.
